What's New

QR Code links can now be shared directly — encode your settings in the URL so anyone opening the tool sees the same configuration. The EV Charging Estimator also gets several quality-of-life fixes.

- Charger type sync — changing the charger type (AC Level 1, AC Level 2, etc.) now automatically updates the charging power field in real time
- Better input balance — Battery Capacity and Charger Type inputs have balanced widths for a cleaner form layout
Bug Fixes
- Reload resilience — hardcoded defaults now apply on page reload when localStorage values are missing, preventing empty fields
- Clear inputs — EV Charging inputs can now be cleared without auto-prefilling, giving you full control over blank fields
The EV Charging Estimator now uses real-world charger data for more accurate results, with gentler behavior when you're editing inputs.
Improvements
- Real-world efficiency data — efficiency rates now reflect actual charger performance (7kW at 86%, 25kW at 87%, 70kW at 83%, 85kW at 85%) instead of a flat estimate
- Graduated SOC penalty — battery charging slowdown now scales with state of charge: mild at 80–90%, moderate at 90–95%, and steep at 95–100%
- Smarter charger defaults — selecting a charger type (AC Level 1, AC Level 2, DC Fast, DC Ultra) now pre-fills the charging power with its real-world default
- Less intrusive editing — advanced fields stay empty while you type and only fill with defaults on blur, so the form doesn't fight your input
Bug Fixes
- Validation timing — end-of-charge validation now clears immediately when you fix the start SOC, instead of staying stuck
- Field reset behavior — advanced fields now reset on blur instead of on every keystroke, preventing accidental overwrites while typing
Toolbox now asks before applying an update instead of reloading automatically. This prevents losing unsaved work in any of the tools. You will see a prompt whenever a new version is ready; choose when to switch.
The EV Charging Estimator now uses a calibration factor derived from real-world charging data. Estimates for energy needed, charging time, and cost are more closely aligned with what you actually experience at the charger.
Several issues with live calculation updates, form validation, and in-tool navigation were also resolved.

- Keyboard shortcuts — press 1 through 7 to jump directly to any tool from the home page
